Hogitat Hedgehog House - Last Few Remaining

The HH5 Hogitat is designed as a safe hedgehog shelter or retreat in your garden where hedgehogs can hide from predators and also be protected from strimmers and mowers.  So often the only place to hide is under your bonfire, which can lead to fatal consequences for the hedgehog

The Hogitat features a sturdy, coated steel frame with a water-resistant felt roof and natural brushwood finish.  It is designed to blend into your garden.  The Hogitat ideally should be further concealed with branches or foliage

Locate the Igloo within cover, out of the prevailing wind. Pile leaves or foliage around the house to further camouflage it. Place cut short lengths of dry grass or leaves inside as nesting material if boisterous dogs or badgers are in the igloo area and maybe anchored down for extra security.

Remember, hedgehogs are wild creatures; hedgehog houses should be covered over the winter for insulation. We recommend that houses are only checked and maintained annually; early summer is best.

• Rattan or natural brushwood style hedgehog houses with an open bottom are not suitable for Hedgehog Rescue Centres.
• We recommend Hedgehog Rescue Centres use wooden Hedgehog Houses where the roof can be opened when checking on or inspecting recuperating hedgehogs.
