Ladybird and Insect Tower – Spring Special
The Ladybird Tower offers a natural habitat for ladybirds and beneficial insects.
A central chamber is filled with natural material. There are many holes drilled at an upward angle for the insects to reach the insulated and safe inner chamber. (If required, the roof panel may be removed for inspection or cleaning). There is a ground pole provided so the tower is easy to site into lawns, sheltered flower beds, wooded glades or even planters. Note The pole is attached to the reverse of the tower for transport, just undo the screw to release.
Site out of prevailing winds in a warm location.
The roof and base are oak, larch or similar naturally durable timber – so no preservative need be used as it may be harmful to the ladybirds. Ladybird food / attractant can be used with the tower if necessary, or it can be used to release larvae with food.
